Residents should expect to provide a 5-7-minute overview of their poster for the rounding team and answer 1 to 2 questions. If the slide presentation slots fill up, you are welcome to choose to present a poster instead, even if you are a PGY1.<\/p><p><strong>For the Posters:<\/strong><\/p><p>General Information<\/p><ul><li>Poster sessions will take place May 14th 3pm-5pm.<\/li><li>Poster set-up begins at 2:30pm on May 14th in the Conference Hall.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><li>Poster Review Rounds will be 3pm-4pm in the Conference Hall.<\/li><li>Open Poster Session will be 4pm-5pm.<\/li><li>Poster mounting boards are 4\u2019 x 8\u2019.<\/li><\/ul><p>Poster Review Rounds<\/p><ul><li>Posters will be arranged in alphabetical order.\u00a0<\/li><li>Poster Review Rounds consists of each resident presenting a 5-7 minute overview of their poster to the moderator, evaluator and other residents in their group.\u00a0<\/li><li>At the end of each presentation, each group member will complete an evaluation form.\u00a0<\/li><li>Research preceptor or RPD of each resident presenting are welcome.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p>Formatting guidelines for posters<\/p><ul><li>Objective(s)\/purpose of the study or project<\/li><li>Methods used in the study or project<\/li><li>Results of the study or project<\/li><li>Conclusions\/evaluation of the study or project<\/li><\/ul><p>Posters will be evaluated on the following:<\/p><ul><li>Visual:\u00a0 Is overall appearance of poster professional? Does content support (or detract) from poster?\u00a0 Are data clear, succinct, and understandable?<\/li><li>Methods:\u00a0 How well does design of the study address the research question? Are statistics appropriate?<\/li><li>Results:\u00a0 Are results adequately expressed? Are tables\/figures fully utilized to represent data?<\/li><li>Conclusion:\u00a0 How well are conclusions supported by study results?<\/li><li>Presentation:\u00a0 Does resident convey mastery of content? Provoke thoughtful questions?<br \/>Impact:\u00a0 How novel is this research?
